Welcome to the Ridgeview Elementary School website. Mr. Todd Jefferson is the principal at Ridgeview, having served in this capacity for the past 12 years. Mr. Jefferson has also served the Dunlap Community as a middle school teacher, coach, assistant principal at Dunlap Middle School, and principal at Wilder-Waite Grade School.
Mr. Jefferson will be retiring at the conclusion of the 2023-24 school year after 33 years in the field of education. Dr. Dearman and the Dunlap Board of Education have developed a succession plan to allow for a seamless transition in leadership at Ridgeview. This succession plan includes the naming of our current assistant principal, Mr. Kyle James, as the principal at Ridgeview starting July 1, 2024.
Mr. James has served as the assistant principal at Ridgeview for the past 3 years after previously teaching 5th grade at Ridgeview. Mr. James has also been an elementary classroom teacher in both Galesburg, Illinois and in the Denver, Colorado area. Mr. James, along with our outstanding staff of educators, will continue our tradition of academic excellence founded on the fundamental belief that each child is unique, learns differently, and is deserving of success.
