Ridgeview History

Ridgeview Elementary School opened its doors in the fall of 2001 to accommodate Dunlap's increasing enrollment at the time.  The enrollment the first year was roughly 250 students.  The school name stems from the ridge along where the school was built which offers an amazing view of the open farmland north of the school.  Our school mascot is the fox and our school colors are orange and green.  Dan Roberts served as the principal of Ridgeview when the school first opened, followed by Tom Welsh, Ali Bond, and Todd Jefferson.

Ridgeview was, at the time it was built, Dunlap's 4th elementary school following Wilder-Waite Grade School (1947), Dunlap Grade School (1949), and Banner Elementary School (1980).  Since Ridgeview opened, Dunlap has added Hickory Grove Elementary School as the 5th elementary school in the district.
